Paul White
Paul was born and raised in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood, and returned to the neighborhood in in 1998. He purchased and began renovating the familiar old house in 2000. The 7 year renovation project touched virtually every corner of the house, inside and out, top to bottom, updating functionality, durability, and livability while keeping true to the original style.
During the renovation project Paul often reflected on the life and work of James Lane, the original builder/owner of the house, who arrived in Minneapolis from New Brunswick in the 1800’s to harvest lumber. Paul has been contacted by a descendant of Lane that lives in the Twin Cities area in recent years.
